Affiliate Disclosure
Transparency matters. This page explains how affiliate links may work on iGoLong and how I handle monetization without compromising the integrity of the content.
What affiliate links are
An affiliate link is a special link that may earn me a commission if you buy something after clicking it.
Current status
At times, this site may have no affiliate links at all. If affiliate links appear in the future, they will be disclosed and marked.
Does it change the price?
Typically, affiliate commissions do not change the price you pay. If a situation differs, I will aim to disclose it clearly.
How I label affiliate links
If an affiliate link is used, I will mark it with clear language such as:
- “affiliate link”
- “partner link”
- “sponsored” (only if it’s actually sponsored)
Independence of recommendations
I don’t recommend products because they pay. If I mention a product, it’s because:
- I personally use it, have tested it, or consider it reasonable based on the evidence
- it fits the context of the article
- I believe it can be useful to readers
Even then, you should do your own due diligence.
Sponsored content
If sponsored content ever appears, it will be clearly labeled as sponsored. I do not publish “stealth ads.”
